The ski slopes are set to open in Whitefish this week.
Whitefish Mountain Resort has announced they will open for their 72nd season on Friday, Dec. 6, thanks in part to the three feet of snow that fell at the summit last month.
“Opening Day has arrived and once again we are very excited. This season we will welcome more season pass holders than ever before. Their loyalty and support certainly enhance what makes this resort special and somewhat unique these days,” Whitefish Mountain Resort CEO Dan Graves said.
People will be able to take in intermediate north side skiing and riding and beginner terrain on the lower mountain. Downloading on Chair 1 will be required for those venturing to the summit. Chair 1 will open at 9:30 a.m. with the last upload at 2:30 p.m.
