The COVID-19 pandemic did not stop Girl Scout Troop 3711 from meeting its goal of selling 3,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies.

The troop leader was able to use their vacant lot off of Huffine Lane near Four Corners to sell drive-through cookies.

Masks and social distancing measures were in place during the sale. The cookies went so fast, they were sold out by the morning of their last day of sales.

“It was just just so wonderful to see the girls get back together again, I get kinda choked up about it. Because we’ve had to do our meeting virtually because of the pandemic,” said Christiana Weiss, the troop leader.

“My favorite part of being a Girl Scout is selling cookies and having fun with my Girl Scout friends,” said Gigi, a Brownie with Troop 3711.

“My favorite part of Girl Scouts is getting to be famous and getting to sell cookies,” said Gigi’s twin sister and fellow Brownie, Mimi.

And just so you know, the troop is also collecting donated boxes of Girl Scout cookies to donate to emergency responders.
