Anchor Fitness in Great Falls is challenging everyone to participate in a workout to bring people together virtually, and help out other local businesses.

Tamara Podry, co-owner of Anchor Fitness says everyone has the opportunity to help the community when they can.

"I think it's important that we join together to help our community to be able to sustain these challenging times. As much as we are facing challenges, we are able to take our business online in a lot of ways. Even though we have lost business we are able to continue working and I know that a lot of restaurant, retail, stores around town are having a much harder time maintaining business. People are just staying home and shopping online and that takes away from our local economy," says Podry.

They posted on their event page: We're challenging you to get outside, do a workout and give back to your community! The more people participate, the more $ goes back into our local economy!

"This idea I have had for a couple of weeks, and I thought I just need to pull the trigger its time to do something, and it is just going to be a fun way to get people active but also give back to our community," says Podry.

There is a Facebook event that you can use to register by sending your cell phone number, your email address and they will respond with a pay pal link for the registration. There will be a 5 dollar sign up fee, and that five dollars will go into a drawing to win gift cards from various businesses around the Great Falls area.

"We are a small business. We are completely family-run, and I know there is a lot of business like that in Great Falls. It's not a big corporate thing, and we aren't a franchise. We are just trying to do something great in the community. I think it's important for us as individuals to know we do have the power to continue to help other people. If we can give a little bit, it will make a big difference".

The challenge starts Monday through Wednesday this week.
