Elk Creek Colony is working to give its hogs to the Helena Food Share.

With a donation of $50 or $100, Elk Creek Colony will give a hog to Tizer Meats to be processed and then it will be delivered to the Helena Food Share.

Elk Creek Colony’s buyers are closed during this pandemic which leaves many hogs unsold. Bill Bahny and Associates will be handling the orders. Owner, Bill Bahny, says about 35 hogs have been sold already and given to the Helena Food Share. During this pandemic, Bahny says we all have to work together.

“We’re in a different time right now. In our history, of the world, there has never been something like this. So, people have to come together to help other people. We gotta forget our politics, we got to forget our prejudices, everything else. We need to help each other,” says Bahny.

If interested in sending a hog to the food share, below are the instructions to providing payment:

-Donations can be mailed or dropped off at THE UPS STORE at 2047 North Last Chance Gulch, Helena, care of Greg Bahny.

-Make checks payable to ELK CREEK COLONY.

Contact Greg Bahny at 439-6325 or email him at gbahny@mt.net for any questions/concerns.
