The Montana Independent Living Project is selling raffle tickets to an all-expenses paid trip to the 2021 Kentucky Derby.

MILP is a non-profit who promotes independence for those living with disabilities.

MILP had to cancel their 2020 Derby for Disabilities fundraiser because the 2020 Kentucky Derby race was postponed to another date.

However, MILP is still doing a fundraiser for the all-expenses paid trip. Each ticket is worth $100. MILP will only sell 200 tickets. The entire value of the trip is about $12,000, according to MILP. The trip includes airfare, hotel, tickets to the Derby, $500 spending money, and more.

“We were disappointed, but I guess maybe when you get lemons, you make lemonade and we, around here, are always excited about the Kentucky Derby and the Derby for Disabilities,” says Bob Maffit, CEO of the Montana Independent Living Project.
