After months of speculation, Hobby Lobby will open in Bozeman to the public next week. While the manager was not available for comment, a worker said they are officially planning on a soft open at 9 am on Wednesday, June 17. According to an earlier press release, construction is complete on the 46,000 square-foot building at West Main Street and North 15th Avenue. Director of Advertising Kelly Black said in the release Hobby Lobby is "tremendously excited" about coming to Bozeman. "Once you visit Hobby Lobby, you will see that we are very unique, offering the widest variety of merchandise in the craft and home decor market under one roof," said Black. Hobby Lobby began in 1970 in Oklahoma City as a miniature picture frame company called Greco. The Bozeman store will add to the chain's four current Montana locations.
