The kits include decals to encourage social distancing, locally produced hand sanitizer from three different distilleries in the Bozeman area, as well as handouts for best practices during reopening.
The kits are designed to help local retail shops, restaurants and nonprofits during phase one.
So far, 200 of the 250 kits have been sold.
The city of Bozeman says they’re ready to make more if there’s a demand.
“How do we help keep some businesses in businesses doing what they do, how do we empower businesses that were forced to close during this time to open safely when it's their turn. We see these as starter kits,” said Brit Fontenot, director of economic development with the city of Bozeman.
“This isn’t gonna last businesses from now until the end of time. It’s meant to have businesses set a good example.”
Kits are being sold for a discounted price of $100 per unit.
