The Gallatin City-County Health Department says social distancing has helped Gallatin County control the spread of the Coronavirus. And now is not the time to let up.

Run Dog Run is a nonprofit organization in Bozeman that promotes responsible pet ownership.

They say pet owners are being advised to practice social distancing with their animals as well.

That means being mindful of other dogs on walking trails and open spaces, and making sure they practice social distancing as well.

“We’re encouraging dog owners to observe the same rules, to keep their dogs at least 6 feet away from others. Please obey the leash laws, and in shared spaces, make sure your dog is on a leash so it’s not interfering with someone else's space,” said Terry Cunningham with Run Dog Run.

Trails in the area remain open to hikers and their pets.
