MontanaFair offers many possibilities for fun, including a new promotion that combines art and rock hunting.

Artists contributed painted rocks, which are hidden all around the MetraPark Fairgrounds, except near the rides.

The fair staff hid 35 rocks in places that should be fairly visible.

If you find a rock with a Times Square Furniture label on the bottom, you may bring it to the Art Barn for a chance at the prize.

The rocks provide a special type of artwork.

"Our artists are a little less afraid to really dress them up,” said Catherine Dove, MontanaFair Art Barn Ambassador. “Sometimes when they're doing stuff on canvas or on other things, they get a little more timid. So we're delighted to have all the various kinds that we have. Some people do amusing things and some just do really gorgeous work."

Rock Hide and Seek is run every day of the fair with a chance to win a prize.
