For the second time in a few weeks, a mobile home has gone up in flames in the Belgrade area.

“We got the call about 12:06 pm that we got a structure fire here on Bulltail Road, responded. As soon as we were out the door we saw a large black column of smoke, so we knew we had a real incident,” explained Ron Lindroth, the fire chief for Central Valley about Thursday's blaze.

An incident that led to a mobile home, several cars, and possibly a boat engulfed when firefighters arrived.

“At this point in time there are no injuries that we’re aware of firefighters or civilians," said Lindroth. "The mobile home was fully engulfed on our arrival.”

This leads many to wonder what started the fire.

“We do have our sheriff’s office here working with our fire investigators and we’ll work hard to determine the cause,” said Lindroth.

“Really billowing, black dark, grey smoke, and then all of a sudden neighbors were coming out so, and that was the same thing that we saw down there,” said Suzanne Schneider, a neighbor.

And with the weather conditions, neighbors are concerned.

“It gets a little scary, especially when it’s so dry and the fields over here nothing is ever done to them, so it’s very very dry,” Schneider pointed out.

Which is why Chief Lindroth says now more than ever is the time to be extra cautious.

“I would encourage everybody at this point and time, emergency resources are highly taxed with all the fires across the state as well as the region," said Lindroth. "So, whatever people can do to remain safe, it’s going to help us out a lot.”

The fire remains under investigation at this time.
