Woman hit on bike in Bozeman airlifted to Billings hospital

A 26-year-old woman is in intensive care at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings after she was hit on her bicycle near Story Mill Park Tuesday in Bozeman.

Bozeman police say a pickup truck headed into Bridger Canyon struck the woman on Bridger Drive at Story Mill Road as she was traveling through the crosswalk.

Police responded around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, and the woman was airlifted to Billings with life-threatening injuries. She is now in the ICU, in stable condition, according to Bozeman PD.

Police tell MTN News the woman was wearing a helmet, and it's likely she and the pickup truck driver were unable to see each other when the incident occurred.

The incident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.
