A 67-year-old man was rescued on Wednesday after he crashed his machine into a tree near West Yellowstone.
Rescuers with Gallatin County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue in West Yellowstone assisted the North Carolina man, who sustained a hip injury in the crash on the Little Snowy Trail, about 2 miles west of West Yellowstone.
The man was with friends and was able to call 911, which provided an accurate location for rescue personnel.
Responders were able to place the man on a backboard and loaded him into a snow ambulance. He was then transported by ambulance to the Big Sky Medical Center.
