The Beeskove Fire burning north of Missoula has grown to 340 acres after an active weekend on the firelines.
Fire managers report windy conditions and warm temperatures caused some increased fire behavior.
There are 278 people assigned to fight the fire that's 0% as it burns in steep and rough terrain.
The main Rattlesnake Trail, trailhead and parking area will be closed for road work beginning Monday afternoon so that road maintenance and dust abatement can be performed in response to fire traffic in the area.
Additionally, the Rattlesnake Creek Trail, the East Fork Rattlesnake Trail, portions of Sheep Mountain Trail and the Mineral Peak Trail remain closed as does the Rattlesnake Horse Trailhead.
Firefighters are still working on building indirect fireline by removing hazardous fuels and vegetation on the ground on the south side of the fire.
Effort include tying the fireline into the 2011 West Riverside burn west of the Johnson Creek drainage.
No structures are currently threatened by the lightning-sparked blaze.
