HELENA — Queen City Framing and Art Supplies in Helena is having an art call.

They are seeking artwork from Montana artists for an October show. This show is Queen City’s version of the trend, Inktober, where artists are encouraged to draw everyday solely with the use of ink.

This year’s theme is social distance. Artists are encouraged to create the art with their interpretation of social distance and do so with any type of ink.

“We just like to encourage anyone, you know, whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or a professional. It's always nice to have a place to let others see your work,” says Deborah Parsons, Co-owner of Queen City Framing and Art Supplies. “So, we just want to encourage drawing."

The last day to submit is September 7th, 2020. The artwork must fit in a frame no bigger than 16x20.

To submit your artwork, you can send it in-person/mail at the store at Lundy Shopping Center, 400 Euclid Ave, Helena, MT 59601.

You may also email any scans to qcity.framing.art@gmail.com.

For any questions/concerns, feel free to reach Queen City by the email above or through their Facebook page.
