HELENA — After a little over a two-month stall, the Montana Club in Helena re-opened its doors to patrons just in time for the holidays.

Montana Club Chief Operating Officer, Patty Dean, told MTN they originally closed due to the economic hardship brought on by the Coronavirus pandemic, and the timing for re-opening coincided with giving the establishment a facelift for the holidays.

"It was to bring comfort and joy, I think, to people. It seemed like the holidays would be a good time to reopen with the clubhouse all decorated," said Dean. "While nobody knows what normalcy really is, right now, we're trying to create a normalcy that people can enjoy and relax and not be concerned about things going on in the world."

The dining room in the Montana Club is spaced out to give patrons a socially distanced environment and also is renting out their private rooms to patrons to dine in as well.

"If they have a pandemic pod that they're comfortable with, they can order and eat in there. I just did that the other night and one of our rooms," said Dean.

Dean also noted that the Montana Club is planning on incorporating a take out option as well.
