Happy Veterans Day! Brutal cold to start off this week as wind chills are well below 0, and many towns have temperatures below zero. Malta had a wind chill of -42 at one point early Monday morning. Arctic high pressure will make for a cold but bright Veterans Day. Highs will hold in the 0s and 10s up on the Hi-Line, with 20s for central Montana, 30s in the western areas and off of the Rocky Mountain Front. Another storm will approach on Tuesday with a mix of rain and snow. Hard to believe but temperatures will warm up significantly, so a mix of rain and snow is likely. The mix will be light and showery, and most of it will fall after dark on Tuesday evening and be out of here by Wednesday morning. The rest of the week will be mild with mostly sunny skies on Thursday and Friday. Another minor system will spread a few isolated snow showers over the mountains on Friday night and early Saturday. Weekend highs will be in the 40s to around 50, 30s in the mountains, which is close to average here in the middle of November in Montana.
Have a great day.
