A DENSE FOG ADVISORY is in effect for areas off of the Rocky Mountain Front into Christmas Day.

Merry Christmas! A weak disturbance that brought areas of light snow to the state will move out for Christmas Day. Areas of fog may be thick in the early morning hours but sunshine will increase for most of the state by the afternoon. It will be a very pretty and pleasant Christmas with sunshine, light wind and highs in the 30s. Thursday will be a very nice day with sunshine and no wind, highs will be in the 20s and 30s. Friday will have a chance of snow showers in the mountains, but the lower elevations will be windy and mostly cloudy. Highs will be in the 30s. The final weekend of the year will be quiet again. Saturday will be mostly sunny with wind across the plains. Highs will top out in the 30s to around 40. Sunday will be partly cloudy with a few mountain snow showers. The next chance at what some might consider a storm will be on New Year's Eve when a windy system will spread snow showers across the western and central parts of Montana.
Have a great day!
