Welcome to the weekend! It's one of the last weekends of summer and it generally will not disappoint. Fair warning...there will be a cloudier start to the weekend. A chinook arch cloud will persist for much of Saturday but it will be dry and warm with highs in the 70s. West winds will gust up to 25mph. Sunday will be a gorgeous summer's day more like the middle of August. Under sunny skies, highs will warm into the upper 80s to around 90. This will be a great day to cool off on the lake or river. The mountains this weekend will be pleasant as well with highs in the 50s and 60s in the highest terrain. Watch the wind on the ridgelines that could gust higher than 40mph. After the weekend the next storm cycle will begin. Monday will start out warm and sunny but late day thunderstorms will move in from the south. Highs will still reach the upper 70s to mid 80s. Rain and wind will move through Monday night into Tuesday. Another couple of low pressures could hit the state Wednesday and again on Friday. Temperatures will be fairly typical for the end of summer, so enjoy the unusual warmth this weekend.
