Spring Smorgasbord: Snow, Rain, Thunder & Sun

Posted
and last updated

Wild weather for the middle of May moved through Montana on Tuesday and the weather will be active through the rest of the week. Areas of rain, thunderstorms and even heavy snow fell across Big Sky Country. The responsible area of low pressure is now moving through and out of eastern Montana but there are several other low pressures that will come through over the next few days. Showers, isolated thunderstorms and a little mountain snow will continue into Wednesday morning. By the afternoon, there will be some sun with scattered showers and storms. The wind will ramp up as low pressure strengthens through the state. That low will clear by Thursday morning and much of the day will have more sunshine and warmer temperatures. Late in the afternoon, clouds and showers will increase across western Montana as yet another storm moves in. Friday will be cloudy and cooler with rain, snow levels will drop to near 5000'. The weekend will have some much needed sunshine and warmer temperatures. The only issue with scattered showers and thunderstorms will come on Sunday afternoon.
Have a great day.
