Sun, Wind and Nasty Storms

It's the last weekend of April and the weather won't really disappoint. It's not winter, it's not summer, it's what you would expect for this time of year - sunshine, wind and a few showers over the weekend. A weak system will push through late Saturday and be gone by early Sunday. So both days will have a decent amount of sunshine with temperatures in the 60s for highs. Gusty west winds will be around all weekend long and besides a few showers and isolated thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon, that's it for weekend blemishes. Monday will have scattered showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening. It will be windy again with highs in the 60s. High pressure will move in for Tuesday with sunny skies and warmer temperatures. This airmass moving in should be the warmest of the year so far as Wednesday and Thursday will have highs well up into the 70s. As a cold front moves through late on Thursday, Montana could see it's first round of severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail and damaging wind. Another thing to look out for is with the snowmelt, water will be running cold and high in most creeks, streams and rivers.
Have a great weekend.
