A FIRE WEATHER WATCH has been issued for most of central Montana for high fire danger with gusty wind, low humidity, and dry grassy fuels.

A HIGH WIND WARNING has been issued for Eastern Teton, Judith Basin, Eastern Pondera, Toole, Cascade, and Fergus until tomorrow NIGHT.

A HIGH WIND WATCH has been issued Meagher, Jefferson, Central/Southern Lewis & Clark until tomorrow NIGHT.

Today will be mostly cloudy with increasing winds and a light mix of rain/snow in the mountains and a few showers in the lower elevations. A warm front will move through the state along with strong southwest winds that will create a warm-up of temperatures. Today's temperatures will be in the 40s and 50s. Tonight the wind will increase and become more widespread for Saturday. Saturday, the wind will intensify, and near-record warmth is possible, some areas will reach the mid to lower 60s. If driving a high profile vehicle or pulling a trailer, it could be difficult. Saturday night, a fast-moving cold front will enter the state along with falling snow and dropping temperatures. The snow showers will continue into Superbowl/Ground Hog Sunday. Superbowl/GroundHog Sunday, another cold front will pass bringing unsettling weather, and dropping temperatures drastically. Monday, the state will be welcoming winter. The high temperatures in some areas will be in the 10s and 20s, and lingering snow showers are likely for the morning hours across the southern part of the state.
