A HIGH WIND WARNING is in effect for the Rocky Mountain Front and areas to the east.

The final storm of 2019 arrives today and continues into New Year's Day. This storm will mainly produce wind east of the Continental Divide but there will be some rain and snow showers that come down out of the mountains this evening. New Year's Eve will be very windy, and travelers heading over the mountain passes will likely face snow and slippery conditions. New Year's Day will be windy and mild with scattered showers of rain and snow across the state. Temperatures will be mild to ring in the new year. More widespread snow showers will spread across the state on Thursday with continued pesky wind. Friday will be windy and partly cloudy. Another cold front will move across the state on Saturday with a few scattered snow showers and more wind. Sunday will be partly cloudy and very windy. There are no major snowstorms or arctic outbreaks expected in the immediate future.
Have a safe and happy New Year's Eve.
