Today we will get a Taste of Winter Temperatures!

and last updated

Sunny skies will join us for the start of the day, but as the day continues, the clouds will increase. The wake-up temperatures are well below freezing for most of the Treasure State, but with the help from a warm front and southwest winds, the temperatures will slightly rebound. The highs for today will range from the 20s to 30s, and portions of east and Southeast Montana highs will be in the teens. This afternoon Southwest winds will increase and create blowing and drifting snow that could make travel conditions difficult over the mountain passes and in northcentral Montana. Saturday snow showers will fly mainly over the mountains and areas northwest of Montana. Saturday temperatures will remain seasonable and will be a good day to plan and prepare for sub-freezing temperatures that are on the way. Sunday will be mostly cloudy, and the invasion of arctic air will certainly tell you Montana Winter is officially here! The front will creep in from Canada and move southward. Temperatures will range from -20s off of the Hi-Line, and light snow showers will increase through the evening hours.

Enjoy your day and Bundle up,
