A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect in Glacier National Park above 6000′. Backcountry areas in the Beartooth-Absaroka Mountains, along with the Beartooth Highway, are under a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY as well.
A cold front has been moving through Montana today. North-central Montana has seen persistent rainfall throughout the day, but the capital city has been dry. As this front continues to push south this evening, rainfall will begin in Helena and southwest Montana. Areas above 6000′ will see snowfall overnight tonight. Tomorrow morning, the rain and snow will taper off for a cloudy but dry Friday. Saturday will bring another chance of snow for the northern Rockies, but most folks will stay dry. Sunday will bring more rain and snow to most of the state.
Have a good evening.
