Rain and Snow Continuing Overnight

A WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect for the Northern Rocky Mountain Front, including Browning, St. Mary, and Heart Butte until noon Wednesday.  Overnight, this area will see continued freezing rain, freezing drizzle, and snowfall, especially in higher elevations. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for the Southern Rocky Mountain Front, and areas along the hi-line,  including Teton Pass, Choteau,  Augusta,  Cut Bank, Conrad, and Shelby until noon tomorrow.  Snow and freezing rain in this area will be less severe, but will still cause difficult driving conditions for Wednesday morning.

The rain and snow that has hit Montana today will continue overnight tonight, tapering off by mid-morning Wednesday.  The hi-line will see below-freezing temperatures tonight, so there is a possibility of icy, slick roads for the morning commute on Wednesday.  While the moisture will clear out by Wednesday afternoon, another round of rain, freezing rain, and high-elevation snow will move into Montana on Thursday evening.  Friday, we’ll get a break from the gloomy weather, before the weekend arrives, bringing lots of rain and snow along with it.

Have a great evening.
