After a sunny Wednesday afternoon, the rain and snow are coming back today. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY in the Beartooth- Absaroka Mountains and in northeast Montana will go into effect at 6 pm today. Wet snow and rain will make travel difficult in these areas. Additionally, there is a LAKE WIND ADVISORY in effect today on Fort Peck Lake.
Today, the showers will begin in the late morning/ early afternoon hours in central Montana. Moisture will move out of Montana overnight, and the weather Friday will be much clearer.
Saturday and Sunday both have a chance of showers and snow. Next week will bring cold temperatures and snow.
