Brrrr! Temperatures dropped below zero for parts of Montana on Thursday morning. Several more cold mornings are likely, and a few more rounds of snow will hit the state this weekend. Friday morning will start off very cold with lows again in the 0s and 10s, with some isolated colder locations in the -0s. Friday, clouds will increase quickly as the next storm approaches. Highs will warm into the 30s to around 40, and west wind will increase to 10-20mph. Snow showers will increase over the mountains through the afternoon, and in the valleys and plains later in the evening. Snow showers will continue Friday night and through Saturday. The mountains will see a few inches by Saturday, with the lower elevations getting a coating up to 2″. Highs Saturday will be in the 20s to around 30. Sunday will have more snow showers through the afternoon and evening. Highs again will only be in the 20s to around 30. Sunday night will be very cold with lows dropping into the 0s and -0s. Monday will be cold but sunny with highs in the 30s. Next week the flow will change from Canada to the Pacific, so temperatures will warm back into the 40s to around 50 for highs. Several days will be very windy as well. Winter is not here for good just yet, so enjoy next week’s “warmth”.
Have a great day!
