First Week of December Arrives With Snow

Posted
and last updated

The first weekend of December will arrive with some wintry weather.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for a large portion of Montana.  Snowfall this weekend will make travel difficult, and below-freezing temperatures next week will mean that this snow is here to stay.

A WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect for a smaller, more centralized area where this snow will hit.  The heaviest snowfall will be near Lewistown and in eastern Fergus County.

This snowfall is accompanied by arctic air which will bring significantly colder weather to Montana next week.  Any snowfall accumulation this weekend will stick around next week, as high temperatures won’t even get above freezing.  Be prepared for winter weather through next week.
