High Winds and Blizzard Conditions Coming Today

Posted at
and last updated

We have two days of active weather ahead of us.  As a disturbance moves through today, areas west of the Continental Divide will receive snow, while east of the Divide will primarily be concerned with high winds.  A BLIZZARD WARNING is in effect for the Rocky Mountain Front for today.  Light snow combined with extremely high winds will create hazardous driving conditions.  A HIGH WIND WARNING is also in place for the Rocky Mountain Front, where sustained winds and wind gusts will be very powerful.  Tomorrow, the wind will be more widespread throughout the state, so a HIGH WIND WATCH has been issued for north-central Montana in preparation for the changes to come.  It’s going to be a windy week here, but the snow will be light east of the Divide.  A small chance of snow returns to the forecast for tomorrow around the Capital City, but it will be very quick and light snowfall.

Have a great day.
