Merry Christmas Eve! Snow is falling in western Montana as of this morning. This snowfall will predominantly stay west of the Continental Divide, but other areas in southern Montana have a chance for some light snowfall as well. Around the Capital City, the snow will stay above 5000′. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for Lewis and Clark County above 5000′ due to that snowfall this morning. Travel over mountain passes will be particularly difficult. By this afternoon, the snowfall will dissipate and travel will become slightly easier. Tomorrow, the chances of a White Christmas are low for most folks in Montana. We will not be waking up to a picturesque snowy Christmas morning, but there is a chance of snow late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Then, for the rest of this week, there is a chance of snow each day through the weekend.
Have a happy and safe holiday!
