After steady snowfall and cloudy skies today, the sunshine will briefly return for the end of the work week. After Friday, more severe weather will move in.
A HIGH WIND WATCH has been issued for the Rocky Mountain Front, Great Falls, and Helena in anticipation of high winds beginning Friday evening. A WINTER STORM WATCH is also in effect for Great Falls, Helena, surrounding counties, and some counties along the Idaho border.
Winds will increase throughout the day on Friday, especially throughout the evening and overnight into Saturday. An approaching front will bring rain and snow for Saturday and Sunday. The precipitation coupled with high winds will create especially dangerous driving conditions for any holiday travel this weekend. Take caution and check weather conditions before you hit the road.
Have a great evening.
