This year is going out with a bitter- cold bang. Lows tonight will be in the single digits for some, and below zero for others. The entire state stayed below freezing today, and tonight will be even colder. However, the good news is that there is no threat of severe weather tonight or tomorrow. Tuesday, there is a very slight chance of flurries moving through north-central Montana, but not enough to cause issues with travel. Wednesday thru Friday, a developing Chinook wind will warm up north-central Montana and the hi-line. Temperatures will reach into the high 40s by the end of the work week before the snow comes back into the picture this weekend.
