A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued today for widespread snowfall. The lower elevations will receive 1-3 inches, while the mountains will see anywhere from 3-6 inches. The snow will begin in the Helena Valley later today and continue overnight. Thursday, the snowfall will dissipate by late morning, and cloud cover will diminish by the evening. Clear conditions overnight will lead to a very cold start for Friday morning, but we’ll get plenty of sunshine to end out our work week.
The snow comes back into the picture for the weekend, and will continue through the beginning of next week. Arctic air will also return for a wintry end to the month.
