It’s the last day of meteorological winter, but not quite the end of winter weather. Today, light to moderate snowfall will move through, ahead of more snow Friday. Between the two days, Friday will have heavier, more widespread snowfall. Friday’s snow comes ahead of a strong cold front, which will drop the overnight low temperatures for the weekend down into the 20s and even 30s below zero- and that’s without the wind chill!
Snow will taper off by Saturday afternoon, and sunshine will prevail for the beginning of next week. However, temperatures will be cold as the arctic air remains in place.
Temperatures will return to a more comfortable range by the middle of next week.
