Significant Swing Since Monday

Posted at
and last updated

On Monday, record lows were shattered as temperatures bottomed out between -20 and -40 for much of Montana.  Since then, temperatures have climbed to almost average.  Most of Montana is between 50 and 80 degrees warmer than earlier last workweek.  Not to say it won’t be cold with snow yet this month, but the days of subzero highs and record lows are over.  This weekend will be one of the nicer weekends so far this year with lots of sunshine and more comfortable temperatures.  Highs will be in the 20s and 30s, with lows in the 0s and 10s.  Those numbers are still below average, but again much warmer than recent weeks.  High pressure dominating the weekend weather will continue into early next week.  A new storm will move in late Tuesday and continue through Wednesday with widespread light snow.

Don’t forget to “spring forward” Saturday night.  Set your clocks ahead one hour as Daylight Saving Time begins.

Have a great weekend.
