Soaring into the 60’s with more snowmelt and flooding

Happy April!  An AREAL FLOOD ADVISORY is still in effect for areas near the Capital and Great Falls, and much of northeast Montana.  A FLOOD WARNING continues for the Milk River from Tampico through Glasgow to Nashua, as the Milk remains 5 FEET above flood stage at Glasgow.  Temperatures will slowly warm this week from highs in the 40s Monday and Tuesday, to the 50s and 60s from Wednesday through Friday.  A large storm with some snow will largely miss Montana over the next few days, generally staying to the south through Idaho and Wyoming.  Some clouds will move over southern Montana on Tuesday, and a few rain showers will pepper the state on Wednesday.  Several waves of showers will come through between Wednesday and Sunday, but no particular day looks like a complete washout.  As temperatures warm later this week and this weekend, look for an increase in runoff and thus flooding.

Have a great day.
