Sweet Saturday, Not So Much Sunday

Posted
and last updated

Snow will ultimately fall over much of northern and central Montana this weekend once again.  It’s won’t be as bad as last Sunday’s blizzard, but snow and cold will be an unwelcomed guest on the first weekend of May.  You’ll notice the changes from Saturday’s warmth and sunshine to Sunday’s clouds, colder temperatures and snow.  Accumulation will be up to 6″ in the mountains with 1-3″ for areas off the Rocky Mountain Front and out into central and northeast Montana.  After Saturday’s highs in the 50s and 60s, Sunday will be in the 30s and 40s with 20s in the mountains.  Some mixed rain and snow will continue into Monday morning.  This weather pattern of showers, some snow, partly cloudy skies, and cooler than normal temperatures will continue for most of next week.  Several nights the overnight lows will be below freezing, so hold off on planting those gardens just yet.

Have a great weekend and be safe.
