Another Snowy Sunday Behind Us, Warmest Sunday Ahead

Make that two Sundays in a row with snow accumulating here in Montana.  Choteau, Havre and Grass Range had a record amount of snow for Cinco de Mayo.  But there will NOT be a third Sunday in a row with snow.  In fact, this coming Sunday could be the warmest weather so far in 2019.  The next several days will be cool and showery, with more snow showers mainly in the mountains.  Highs will be in the 50s to around 60 in the lower elevations, with 30s and 40s in the mountains through Wednesday.  Thursday is when the weather begins to turn.  The large trough in the jet stream that’s persisted for weeks will finally break down with a ridge of high pressure moving in.  Clouds will break up and temperatures will warm up into the 60s.  Friday will be a really nice day with highs in the 60s to around 70.  Besides a few isolated afternoon thunderstorms, most of the state will be dry.  This weekend will feature the warmest weather Montana has had yet this year.  Saturday will be mostly sunny with highs in the 70s.  Sunday is Mother’s Day and Mother Nature will be awfully nice as highs top out in the 70s and low 80s under a sunny sky.  Warm weather will continue into the beginning of next week.  That’s certainly something to look forward to.

Have a great day.
