A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING has been issued for a storm moving toward the Helena area.  Seek shelter immediately if you are in the path of this system.  Quarter size hail and 60mph wind are being produced by this storm.  Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.  Torrential rain could create brief flash flooding.

Locations impacted include…
Clancy, Montana City, Wickes, Jefferson City, Rimini, Alhambra and Corbin, heading toward the Helena Valley.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

The entire area remains in a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH through this evening.  Large, supercell thunderstorms are likely to develop within the watch area.  Large hail and damaging wind will be most common with these thunderstorms.  However, there is enough instability and energy for an isolated tornado.

Tune into NBC tonight at 5, 6 and 10 for the latest forecast.
