Cool, not-so-dry July

Ready for the end of the rain? Unfortunately, it’s not finished with us quite yet.

The persistent, unstable southwesterly flow will keep our weather wet for a little longer. Today, rain will push into the Capital City by the late morning hours. This system will move eastward as the day goes on, reaching Lewistown and eastern Montana by the late afternoon.  By this evening, we’ll start to dry out, although an isolated shower or two won’t be out of the question.

Independence day will begin dry, but isolated to scattered showers will again be present for the afternoon hours.  The Northern Rocky Mountain Front and the Montana-Alberta border will get more rainfall than the rest of north-central Montana
