The Treasure State was hit hard with severe weather this weekend, but the work week is starting off calm- at least for now. This afternoon, more thunderstorms will begin to move into southwestern Montana, gaining strength as they push east. Storms have the highest potential to become severe in southeastern and southern Montana, but Helena and Lewistown could also see some sporadic thunderstorms as well. Towns south of the Capital City, along the I-15 corridor, will have more potentially severe weather than the Helena Valley itself.
These storms will roll through fairly quickly, and we’ll get a few hours of dry, calm weather before more storms set in for Tuesday. Tomorrow will be a dreary, drizzly day with storms strengthening in the afternoon again.
Wednesday and Thursday will be calm, but more unsettled weather will move in late Friday through early Saturday.
Have a great day!
