What a gorgeous summer day! You can't beat sunshine, light wind and average temperatures in early August across Montana. Enjoy the comfy conditions while we have them. While fire danger will be on the increase, the weather through the weekend into next week will be fairly steady without intense heat. Wednesday will be another nice day with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will be a little warmer in the 80s to around 90. Isolated thunderstorms are possible over western Montana from the Dillon are to around Helena through the afternoon into the evening. Later in the evening the storms could spread up through Great Falls and possibly reach the Hi-Line. Thursday will have more moisture producing scattered storms across the state. This will be the best chance of rain over the next week or so. Highs will be in the 80s and 90s but cool off into the 70s with areas of thunderstorms. Friday fire concerns will be on the rise. Although the temperatures will cool back down into the 70s and 80s, the wind will be pretty strong with gusts up to 30mph. The humidity will be low as well. Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny, warm, dry and breezy in the afternoon. Wildfire danger will remain high but the temperatures should remain steady in the 80s to around 90 for much of the state.
Have a great day.
