Quiet winter weather continues this weekend. Although a little chilly with highs in the 20s and 30s, lows in the 0s and 10s, Montana will avoid an arctic airmass that will remain just to the north. Extreme northeast Montana from Glasgow to Scobey north will dip into the arctic air briefly. Saturday night should dip below zero in this part of the state. Sunday will be partly cloudy with highs again in the 20s and 30s under partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will remain seasonably cold into the final week of January with just a slight chance of light snow showers on Thursday. Arctic air could be in the works toward the first week of February. Climatologically, the coldest time of year is now behind us.

Have a great weekend.
