Extended Beautiful Stretch of Fall Weather

Posted at
and last updated

Last year at this time, a record-breaking snowstorm was developing for parts of Montana. This year will be almost the total opposite. High pressure will dominate this week with sunshine, above average highs, and generally light wind. There will be a couple of weak "cool" fronts pass through the state dropping temperatures from above average back down close to average. At worst, skies will be partly cloudy for part of the day. However, expect a lot of sunshine all the way through the weekend. While this stretch of Indian Summer will be beautiful, Montana could certainly use some rain. The dry weather that has occurred will continue well into October. This means wildfire season may be long and late this year. Late this weekend into early next week, an increase in the wind is likely. Red Flag Warning conditions are possible so please use caution.
Have a great day.
