A FIRE WEATHER WATCH has not been escalated to a WARNING for most of central and northern Montana for This afternoon and evening.

The passage of an overnight cold front will cool off the temperatures today, and increase the wind speed for the region.

The high temperatures will drop nearly 10 to 15 degrees in some areas. The wind will be gusting up to 45mph at times, the humidity will be low, and overall today will be a dry day. With all that in mind, fire danger will increase today. Also, lightning from yesterday's storms may lead to a delayed fire.

Open burning has been closed in many areas. If burning remains open in your area today will not be a good day to burn debris.

Tomorrow will be a carbon copy of today's conditions, but the temperatures will cool to the 70s as another front move through the state. The winds will be gusty, and humidity will be low as well.

Sunday, another area of high pressure will give off clear skies to the Treasure State. The temperatures will stay below average in the 70s and low80s, and the wind will have subsided.

Monday, the temperatures will regain its strength and climb back to the upper 80s and low 90s.

Have a great day,
