A Heat Advisory remains in effect for portions of central and north-central Montana.

A Fire Weather Warning has been issued for portions of central Montana.

Critical fire concerns continue for the state today.

All the ingredients will be present: erratic wind, low humidity, and hot temperatures.

Keeping that in mind, southwest Montana is currently at a marginal risk for storms, meaning isolated to severe thunderstorms are possible.

The biggest threat to today's system will be the erratic wind and frequent lightning. An increase in cloud cover will slightly hold the temperatures back by 5 to 6 degrees in most areas, aside from eastern Montana, where the temperatures will hold on to the triple digits.

Tomorrow the state will have partly cloudy skies. Portions of southwest, central, and southeast Montana will be at a marginal risk for storms.

The highs will trend in the 90s and triple digits for eastern Montana. A few locations in southern Montanan temperatures will stay in the 80s.

Thursday will be partly cloudy with chances for scattered showers.

The temperatures will slightly warm back into the mid to upper 80s and 90s.

Friday, an upper-level ridge will help the state stay warm and dry, going into the weekend.

Have a great day,
A.R.😊
