A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for portions of south-central Montana until 11 am.

A period of snow fell through the overnight hours into the morning, leaving roads and sidewalks covered with snow. If having to travel, prepare for a messy commute. Remember to drive slow and increase your following distance from others. Another weak system passes through during the afternoon/evening for southwest Montana, leaving more in the way of spotty snow showers; aside from that, expect a little more sunshine and colder temperatures. Daytime highs will stay in the upper 20s and low 30s.

This weekend is shaping out to be cool and dry. Highs will stay in the 20s and 30s, and most of the state will have mostly to partly sunny skies.

Have a great weekend.
