Although it may feel like fall heading into Tuesday morning, summer and its heat is not over with just yet. High pressure building into the state Monday night will allow temperatures to drop to near record levels. At the very least, Tuesday morning will have temperatures in the 30s and 40s across the state. Some of the normally colder spots will drop down into the 20s. Tuesday's afternoon highs will rebound into the 70s under crystal clear blue skies. Tuesday will be a gorgeous late August day to say the least. Tuesday's cooldown will be temporary as warmer weather moves back on Wednesday. Still mostly sunny, temperatures will warm up to the mid and upper 80s. An increase in the west wind up to 20mph will elevate fire danger once again. Another cold front will move through the state on Thursday with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs will dip back down into the 60s and 70s. Friday will be partly cloudy with isolated thunderstorms and highs in the 70s to around 80. It's Labor Day Weekend coming up and the "unofficial" end of summer will be very warm and dry. Saturday and Sunday will be warm and dry with highs in the 80s to around 90. Low humidity and an afternoon breeze will increase the fire danger once again. It's important to remember the fire danger as most of us will be outside enjoying the pleasant weather. Monday will have the chance of a few isolated thunderstorms late, but the fire danger will be high once again with above average temperatures and stronger southwest wind.
Have a great day.
