Not Exactly a Winter Wonderland But...

You'll hardly have to break out the shovels but a little light snow is headed to Montana to add to the holiday spirit. Another wave of light snow will move into Montana on Friday. The mountains will see a couple inches, and the lower elevations will be more gray (cloudy) than white (snowy). At best, the lower elevations can expect a few hours of light snow and a light coating. This system will move out on Saturday with a few morning snow showers followed by increasing sunshine through the afternoon. Sunday another low pressure will bring a chance for areas of light snow, which may even have a few rain drops mixed in over the lower elevations. Areas of snow will continue on Monday with light accumulations here and there. The activity will continue with several more storms moving in from the Pacific through the end of the week into the following weekend. The storm pattern should continue to produce heavier snow in the mountains west of the Divide while simultaneously keeping any arctic air off to the north of Montana.

Have a great day.
