A Fire Weather Warning has been issued for portions of central and north-central Montana until tonight.
A Fire Weather Watch will go into effect tomorrow afternoon Toole, Glacier, and Pondera Counties.
Near record-breaking heat will arrive in the state today as a strong high pressure continues to strengthen.
The high temperatures will soar to the upper 90s and even triple digits. Most of Montana will stay dry throughout the day, but an isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out for southwest Montana.
Tomorrow will still be pretty hot, but the temperatures will slightly drop to the low to mid-90s.
With the temperatures expected to drop 5-6 degrees, the Heat Advisory is scheduled to expire tonight for most areas but will remain in effect until tomorrow night for eastern Montana.
Southwest Montana is currently at a marginal risk for storms, meaning isolated to severe thunderstorms are possible. The system is expected to continue into the overnight hours. Wednesday, the high temperatures will warm back to average. The clouds will increase, and another chance of isolated storms remain possible.
Have a great day, A.R.😊
